Scholarships
The Luis Alvarez CPA Scholarship Award
This scholarship is in remembrance of Luis Alvarez, CPA. Mr. Alvarez was an accountant at Florida Education Institute from 1994 to 2009. A believer in the human spirit and a great family man, Mr. Alvarez’s business philosophy was guided by two principles: hard work and friendship.
The Luis Alvarez CPA Scholarship is awarded to non-traditional or immigrant students who do not qualify for available financial aid. Mr. Alvarez believed that no one should be denied an education because of financial hardships. To him, there was nothing better than bettering one’s life to support their family and themselves.
Students applying for this scholarship should demonstrate willingness, family dedication, and a commitment to academic and career success.
