This is a federal student aid program that does not require repayment. Awards are based on enrollment status and financial need. Yearly amounts may vary based on federal appropriations.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
This program is for students who demonstrate exceptional financial need. Repayment is not needed.
Federal Subsidized Direct Loan
The Federal Subsidized Direct Loans are part of a program that provides low-interest, need-based loans for qualifying students enrolled in Florida Education Institute. This is a loan and repayment is required.
Federal Unsubsidized Direct Loan
Federal Unsubsidized Direct Loans are part of a program that provides low-interest loans for qualifying students enrolled at Florida Education Institute. This is a loan and repayment is required. This loan may be used in conjunction with the Federal Subsidized Loan. The student is responsible for the interest payments while attending school, but these payments can be deferred by the student until after graduation.
Federal Direct Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS)
This is a low-interest loan made available to parents of dependent students to assist with educational expenses. This is a loan and repayment is required. These loans require a credit check, and repayment of both principal and interest begins 60 days after the final disbursement is made.
